I’ve always thought that tourmaline was an under appreciated gemstone. Not any more. The rest of the world has caught on to this beautiful gem and prices keep going up. What’s not to like? It comes in a wide variety of colors and is reasonably durable, with a hardness of 7. Here’s a 4+ct. pink we re-cut from a larger stone with a window.
