This material, which is from the State of Sonora (Mexico), has been on the gem scene now for a couple of years and remains very hot in the marketplace. The price of the rough remains expensive, but thus far at least, we've had a steady supply of quality material. It is primarily blueish green and red with a bit of black. The green is chrysocolla. The red is cuprite, and I'm told the black is tenorite. The material makes some very unusual and beautiful pieces.
