I'm on a kick of making cabs from thunderegg slices. These agate geodes were formed during volcanic action and are the Oregon state rock. They are mostly seen as display items cut in half and polished. But I have started slicing them and making cool designer cabs and pendant beads. Very tedious and time consuming because there is no way to know what is inside each egg. So I cut and cut and cut to get one good cab. These are from the moss bed of what used to be the famed Priday Ranch which has for years been the Richardson Ranch which is a very cool place.
