Bigg's jasper hails from near Bigg's Junction in North Central Oregon and is one of the world's most famous jasper gemstones. The deposit was uncovered years ago during the construction of highway I-84. To my knowledge no more of the classic quality material is being found these days. We find the rough material where we can, usually estates and old colllections. Unfortunately, it's getting harder and harder to find high quality material.
