Coyote Highway

This is where we take our dogs for a walk here in Tucson. To the right is an arroyo or gulch which carries the storm water from the infrequent but occasionally severe winter storms.  What it carries most of the time is coyotes.  We hear them in the evening and early morning and have been cautioned by the locals that they are out hunting for well fed, tasty pets like ours even in daylight hours.  We keep our beloved puppies on short leashes.
